About Me

I was a very lucky girl who was born into a family with horses and so I always had my own pony. Many of my happiest memories from childhood are times spent with ponies and horses. I loved to groom them and take care of them and just spend time in the barn with them. I want to share that enjoyment with others, by helping people learn how to happily and safely be around horses.

Children can benefit so much from relationships with animals. They learn about responsibility, trust, and unconditional friendship.

Our Goals

  • To teach horsemanship and riding skills.
  • To provide an enjoyable experience for my students.
  • To help children and adults develop positive relationships with horses and ponies.
  • To improve the lives of horses and ponies by educating people.

Growing up, I competed in horse shows, endurance rides and eventing. I was fortunate to take lessons from prominent coaches and tried different styles of riding and training methods. The sport I love most is eventing, with its combination of graceful dressage, challenging cross country jumping and technical show jumping. But I believe it all comes back to the relationship with the horse, regardless of the style of riding. I have taught people of all ages as well as those who ride western and those who aren’t interested in competing. The basics skills of horsemanship, equitation and communication are the same for all of us.
